This time of year is always a marvel in Pasadena. Bright pink trees line the streets and soon we’ll have purple too! What an amazing city.

Pasadena City Hall
The Pasadena City Hall is one of the most architecturally stunning areas of Pasadena. The broad intersection at Garfield and Holly, in front of the city hall, with the library and mountains to the north, and the civic center to the south, has a majestic and European feel. Walking under the dome and into the the courtyard, with the center fountain, I marvel at the craftsmanship of the early 1920’s.
The Jackie and Mac Robinson statues are just to the west of City Hall. Jackie Robinson, #42, was from Pasadena. Plaza las Fuentes is just to the east, with colorful-tiled fountains. Both are fun to see and walk through. This area is a block north of the Paseo Colorado, an outdoor mall, and not far from Old Town. The main library, at Walnut and Garfield, is an architectural gem. There are ruins from the original library at the corner of Walnut and Raymond, in Memorial Park.
